  6. A couple of years back I started  building  a  suspension in Imagine mostly
  7. because I thought doing the cables  would  be an interesting exercise. Once
  8. that was done I  kind  of  lost  interest  for  a  while  and  left it half
  9. finished.
  10. [Somewhere in the interim I got  contacted  by  Patrick Henz who asked if I
  11. had any interesting  objects  to  share,  so  I  let  him play with my half
  12. finished bridge. You can see the result (with his colouring) in pix/henz as
  13. fommisc01.jpg.]
  14. Recently (Spring 2002) I started  working  on  it again, mostly adding side
  15. cables. (They are not there in Patrick's  version, which is probably why he
  16. chose to focus on the middle of the bridge... ;-))
  17. This is just a test render I made after  finishing the cables. It is called
  18. "Albatross" simply because this is a kind of twisted bird's eye view of the
  19. bridge, so I thought of a big  bird.  Apologies  to  any collectors of bird
  20. pictures who got misled, but that's what the short description is for!
  21. Anyway, it could also be seen as a reference  to the unpainted state of the
  22. object (Albus is Latin for white).  Guess  I'll  start on the colouring and
  23. texturing next. Anyone happen to have a good asphalt texture lying around?
